Faces
One person has many,
Though there are few people,
Who will show you the one that is true.
Hiding for some unknown reason,
Not showing their true self,
A person hides behind one of their faces,
Trying to lead you to believe the lies they tell you.
Always waiting and ready for one of these people,
Trying to keep track of all the truths they tell,
In comparison to all that is false,
It hurts to have someone you used to think was so close,
Turn from you and show you the true face they wear.
All I want is to know that there is a few,
Real people with real faces,
That can be up-front,
And honest with the purpose of what is on their minds,
Without feeding you falsified hopes and feelings,
Someone to just be true.
All I can do,
Is hope to make it so people don't feel I am just showing them a face,
The one that is not my true one,
Let them see me for who I really am,
And the face that I really hold.
